I can't imagine putting a pistol in a conventional safe, and being awakened in the dead-of-night and have to fiddle with keys or dials or keypads; the biometric access is really easy, and very fast! I leave to the reader to decide whether handling a firearm when you're tired is a good idea or not...! Some have complained that the safe isn't super-secure; I think that's a bum rap. It's sturdy enough to slow-down both amateur and professional, and that's good enough for me. I cut the back out of a closet cabinet and lag-bolted it 3" into a 2x4 in the back wall; it can probably be extricated from the wall with a big enough crowbar, but lemme tell ya it would be difficult and you'd make a heckuva racket in doing it (ripping the cabinet apart and the safe out of the wall. I see nothing wrong with the beep tones the safe emits--maybe my old ears aren't as sensitive as others. This safe is Highly Recommended, for very fast access to you-know-what.
This safe is exactly what I wanted to securely store my loaded guns, especially when my young grandchildren come to visit. I taught the safe my fingerprint, from my index finger, in several positions to assure it would open promptly in case I need to open it quickly. It opens every time without delay. There is enough room for my two guns, extra clips and extra ammunition. I installed it in a closet very close to my bed and screwed it to the wall with the three screws supplied. It is secure and very convenient. I have recommended it to friends and family and others have already bought it.
Quality Safe. I have no issues with this safe it works well. The only
issue I have is the Manual is not real informative. I would like to be
able to turn the tone off as it opens. Other then that, It works well
and I do not have any issues.
